Since its very inception (and star studded opening) in late 2006, Bucci Marroni Haute Joaillerie has prided itself in offering exclusivity for the Montreal elite. Conceived by young entrepreneur and Harvard Graduate Jonathan Bucci, Bucci Marroni involves its clientele with a unique interactive process for creative custom made jewelry, tailored for success. Since then, Bucci Marroni has whipped up a niche clientele in no time.

His very own products are the result of progressive and direct collaborations between himself and the clientele. The piece is crafted three times over so to speak: initially sketched on paper, it is then molded into a wax figure. Once the approval has been given, it is then brought to life conforming to the patron’s vision. Once done, the mold is completely destroyed, negating the opportunity for the piece to ever be duplicated.

In other words Bucci provides patrons with a product of intrinsic value, a small piece of art, which, in all accordance to his principles, is all which is collectible. With the clientele having been noted for being more than casual fans of the arts, the jewelry is treated the same, with some going as far as buying the actual art displayed within the locale. Happy to comply and a philanthropist at heart, Jonathan donates 5% of all proceeds of sold paintings to various charities and organizations for such causes as Aids, Breast cancer as well as helping up and coming artists.

Nestled into famed Les Court Mont Royal mall (appropriately dubbed the downtown luxury district), it stands out with its sizeable space, prominent photo displays featuring model Penny Match and incandescent window displays. Stock collections are said to be changed twice a year, purposely done so they routinely change directions. At opportune moments on can find items encrusted with Australian South sea Baroque pearls, Diamonds and Sapphires amongst many others. At one point one of the store’s most prized items was a Python Stingray bracelet with diamonds. With its skin being renowned for being one of the most resistant, Jonathan reports it broke nearly 700 needles in order to make it!

Bucci Marroni is planning to eventually expand geographically throughout North America and artistically as well: Bucci has recently contributed a diamond studded corset while working in collaboration with an haute couture designer, a sign of what might loom ahead for the creator.
